My unconventional journey
Before my journey as a designer started, I had a passion to teach. I loved learning how each individual student approached the curriculum because it helped me understand what I had to change in my lesson plans to make it more all inclusive. Being a student teacher taught me that plans will always be dynamic and the most impactful changes were made when I had the opportunity to learn more about the students and their motivations. Although I loved my experiences as a student teacher, my old passion for art grew stronger while my new passion for psychology grew as well. I wanted to find a mix of my two passions and that led me to product design!
Starting my product design journey led me to many opportunities like creating a design system from scratch to being a design lead for internal tools! I had the opportunity to collaborate with many different job roles and projects.
With these opportunities, I was able to learn and apply these skillsets to my day-to-day work like design strategy, visual design, motion design, storytelling, and research design.
